This year, the EURYPAA (European Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous) convention took place in Riga, Latvia. Fellows from all over Europe attended: Italians, Latvians, Lithuanians, Germans, Norwegians, Danes, Scots, Irish, and many more. Some fellows even came from overseas, including the US and Australia.
Denmark and France both bid to host next year’s event.
Paris won, and will be the host city for EURYPAA 2027! 🎉
Being a young person in AA means coming into the rooms at a point in your life when much of social life revolves around drinking: going to parties, meeting friends for apéros, and being surrounded by alcohol.
It means admitting that you have a problem at an age when doing so can set you apart from your peers and, sometimes, leave you feeling very lonely.
Hosting EURYPAA in Paris gives us an opportunity to show that sobriety is not a death sentence — that it is possible to have a fun, fulfilling life without alcohol. It is also an opportunity to reach out to young people who are still suffering and send them a message of hope and recovery.
The convention will take place at the beginning of the second half of 2027. It will be three days of sharing and fellowship, guided by three words:
Liberté, Sobriété, Fraternité.

We are now starting preparations for the convention, and we’re going to need lots of people to be of service — both in the months leading up to EURYPAA and during the convention itself.

Winning the bid was only the beginning. Bringing EURYPAA 2027 to life will take the support of the whole fellowship. Whether you’d like to volunteer, help with preparations, offer practical support, or simply let us know that you’re behind EURYPAA Paris 2027, we’d love to hear from you.
